After showcasing a luxury Sport Yacht concept last year, Lexus has now officially unveiled plans for its first-ever luxury yacht, the LY 650.
With the aid of the aforementioned Sport Yacht concept, the LY 650 picks up similar design elements as it boasts the Japanese company‘s distinctive “L-finesse” design scheme. Measuring 65 feet in length with a 19-foot beam, the LY 650 yacht exudes a strong and pronounced bow profile with curved deck accents and accentuated aft hips.
This new LY 650 is Lexus’ fourth flagship model, joining the LS sedan, LX SUV and LC coupe, as the company continues its efforts on examining its design identity, utilizing its heritage and showcasing its meticulous artisan skills.
Lexus’ Executive Vice President, Shigeki Tomoyama, says his desire is to, “present a dream-like vision of the luxury lifestyle; one where the Lexus yacht expands the potential of Lexus mobility to the ocean.”
World renowned boat builder Marquis-Larson Boat Group will construct, sell and service the vessel when it goes into production in the second half of 2019, with its global debut scheduled late next year. Specifications, prices and other details will be announced at a later date.
